Youth's knife threat to family in argument
a YOUTH who brandished a knife while threatening to kill members of his family, has been given an eight-month sentence.
Christopher Warburton (20) from McKee Park, Dublin 7, had pleaded guilty at the city's Children's Court to making a threat to kill and producing a knife, at his home address, on January 21 2012.
He also admitted a connected charge for making a threat to an officer at a Dublin Garda station that he would kill or cause serious harm to his own father.
Defence solicitor Gareth Noble said that there had been domestic difficulties which led to a "lot of hurt and anger on all sides".
He had also said the teenager accepted that he had been involved in the row and that he had "taken a knife from the kitchen to his family".
