She has already made a name for herself in Tinseltown, but Xpose's Ruth O'Neill is happy to stay in Ireland for a full-time stint in TV3.

The Dublin native joined the entertainment news show in May of this year to replace Aisling O'Loughlin while she was on maternity leave.

However, after O'Loughlin, Lisa Cannon and Peter O'Riordan were all axed from the show, Ruth was given a full-time slot on Xpose, alongside fellow rookie Cassie Stokes.

Ruth admitted she would have more than likely left Ireland had her maternity cover not been made a permanent position.

"This is probably the only TV show that I would stay in Ireland for, so I guess everyone is stuck with me," she told the Diary.

The show is also moving back to its original 30-minute slot and Ruth is excited for all of the changes.

Shock

"I am really excited. I've had so much fun over the summer so it is very exciting. They told me recently. It's always nice having a full-time job in TV."

The blonde missed most of the shock reveals with the show's line-up change, as she has only just returned from her holidays.

"I just came back from Ibiza last night, which was the holiday of a lifetime. There was 12 of us in a villas, 12 friends from London," she said.

However, she insisted she would miss her departing co-hosts. "Yeah, absolutely I will miss them," she said.

Meanwhile, Karen Koster also wished her three former colleagues the best.

"I think they will go on to fantastic things. I am mad about them," she said.
