Yes the Irish winter is set to arrive right on schedule.
Forecasters say that the weekend will bring some really cold nights and next week will see "some very wet and very windy weather at times".
Temperatures are set to plunge to minus 3C tonight with a hard frost and some icy stretches on roads.
Sunday morning will be cold, bright and sunny.
But wet and windy weather, developing over the western half of the country during the afternoon, will become widespread later.
The mercury will just about creep into the double digits but the weekend will come to a crashing end as the rain storms in along with gusts of up to 100 km/h.
According to Met Eireann we will be treated to a bright Monday but after that the early part of the week turns wet and windy.
"It will probably continue to affect the country for a time on Tuesday, before clearing to scattered showers later," said the Met office.
So that's clear as mud. Prepare for a bit of everything over the coming days.
