We're cheapest for hiring a car

Dublin has the lowest car hire prices in the world, according to a survey today.

A week's car hire in the Irish capital will set drivers back just £76.90, the poll by www.travelsupermarket.com found.

In contrast, Tbilisi in Georgia in Eastern Europe charges £663.80 for a seven-day hire of a vehicle -- making it the world's most expensive car hire destination.

The poll covered 131 locations and showed that Zambia (£532.40) and the Seychelles (£509.00) were the second and third most expensive destinations. The average seven-day cost across the locations was £189.19, with Africa the most expensive continent and the Middle East the cheapest area.
