Welder (33) caught with €3,000 of cannabis
A WELDER who cultivated nearly €3,000 worth of cannabis has been ordered to complete community service to avoid going to jail.
Eddie Sadlier (33) was caught after gardai searched a house in Tallaght and found the cannabis hidden in drawers.
Judge John Lindsay ordered Sadlier to complete 200 hours of community service in lieu of three months in prison.
The defendant, of Tymon Crescent, Tallaght, had admitted before Tallaght District Court to possession of cannabis as well as having the drug for sale or supply at Tymon North Grove last October 10.
The street value of the drug was €3,000.
Defence solicitor Kevin Tunney said Sadlier works as a welder and co-operated fully with the probation service.
