Viral video sets Dublin as kissing capital
It seems people really do love Dublin after a video aimed at attracting tourists reached more than 200,000 views.
Tourism Ireland uploaded a 90-second video called #LoveDublin - Kiss Me I'm Irish to YouTube which shows four real couples and four fake couples kissing.
You watch the couples embracing at various landmarks around the capital and then decide who's truly in love and which pairs are actually strangers.
Viewers take a quiz to find out and put their result up on Facebook or Twitter. Tourism Ireland hoped to reach 250,000 hits in two weeks but already the video has more than 200,000 views.
The whole point of the exercise was to bring tourists to Ireland during the city-break season.
"We have seen growth of 11.3pc in British visitors to Ireland for the first seven months of this year. We are determined to keep that momentum going and ensure that growth continues," said Vanessa Markey, Tourism Ireland's head of Great Britain.
The #LoveDublin hash-tag started trending in the capital in recent months after a move which tried to discourage people leaving "Love Locks" on the Ha'penny Bridge.
