TV3 star Aisling O'Loughlin enjoys time off on French sun holiday
Presenter Aisling O'Loughlin is taking advantage of her month off from the glitz and glamour of TV3's Xpose with a sun soaked family holiday in France.
The mum-of-two decided to take parental leave from TV3 in order to spend more time with her partner Nick MacInnes and their sons Patrick (3) and 19-month-old Louis.
"I'm in the south of France with family enjoying the sunshine and finally getting to swim in the sea and build sand castles," she told the Diary.
"I'm up to my eyes with kiddie activities and loving every minute."
The 36-year-old admitted it can be difficult to balance work and family life and so she took some time out to reconnect with her young family over the summer.
"I need time to think - Xpose is so busy you're going from one place to the other," she said.
"It's intense, the whole motherhood and working thing.
"People are always like, 'Can you balance it?' Well the answer is, 'No, I cannot balance it'. I don't balance it well at all," she added.
However, she counts herself lucky that her bosses in Ballymount are so understanding.
"I'm taking unpaid time off, I'm using my parental leave," she said.
"I've got really flexible bosses who are great and look after me."
Enjoy yoga in the sun
Calling all yogis, it looks like the sun is staying with us and what better way to soak up the warmer weather and channel your inner zen than with a yoga class in the park.
Organised by Dublin event group Happenings, the yoga classes take place twice a week in Dartmouth Square in Ranelagh.
Classes are taught by Luna Dolezal and take place on Wednesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 11am.
These classes are accessible to all ages and abilities and it costs €5 to participate, which goes towards the care of the square, and the yoga teacher.
