Traffic chaos as five injured in seven car collision on M50

Three adults and two children were injured in a seven vehicle collision on the M50 yesterday.

The incident occurred near Junction 4 Southbound at around 7.07pm and involved five cars and two trucks.

Three ambulances, three fire engines, an ET and a District Officer arrived at the scene shortly after the incident was reported.

All of the injured were brought to hospital. The adults were transferred to the Mater Hospital, Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown and Beaumont Hospital.

Both children were admitted to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

Shortly after that accident, a two-car collision occurred at Junction 4 Northbound on the opposite side of the road. There were no injuries reported.
