Tesco has said the Irish market is the most competitive one the company operates in, and has vowed to cut prices to win back customers.

The supermarket giant has seen its market share slide in recent years. Last month, it lost its top spot as the biggest retailer to SuperValu.

Tesco said it will now look to make products cheaper and make itself more competitive.
