THREE schoolchildren have been rushed to hospital after smoking an unknown substance believed to be from a Headshop.

The three teens were reported as feeling weak and faint after they had smoked the substance at lunchtime yesterday.

They were transported from St Columba's Secondary School, Killucan, Co Westmeath, to Mullingar General Hospital where they were later discharged.

Gardai are investigating whether the substance taken was from a Headshop.

An HSE spokesperson confirmed that the teens were monitored very closely before being discharged yesterday evening.

Local Labour councillor Denis Leonard said the majority of the public want to see the stores banned completely. He said the drugs very dangerous and potentially lethal.
