‘Stephen made the sun shine on our big day’ – Ronan and Storm
The first pictures of Ronan and Storm Keating’s lavish Scottish wedding have landed.
The couple, who signed a reported €70k deal with Hello! for wedding pictures, beam for the cameras. Storm looks elegant in a bespoke Chantilly lace dress by Australian designer Steven Khalil.
The couple tied the knot in a four-day celebration in Archerfield House, in Edinburgh. Ronan’s son Jack (16) was best man, while daughters Missy (14) and nine-year-old Ali were maid of honour and flower girl.
The family’s pet pug Aussie was ring-bearer and walked down the aisle with the couple’s wedding rings tied around her neck.
“It was a perfect day. We always wanted the wedding party to be just us and the kids,” Ronan told Hello!
“It’s so special for me that Storm would want the girls to be by her side. I’m so proud and honoured. It means the world to me.”
Ed Sheeran performed his hit single Thinking Out Loud for the couple’s first dance and joined Boyzone and Brian McFadden on stage later in the evening.
“Storm was speechless when Ed appeared. That doesn’t happen often!” Ronan joked.
“Ed’s a good friend and Thinking Out Loud is one of our songs.”
Ronan believes late band member Stephen Gately, who died in 2009, ensured the sun shone brightly.
“I know that my Mam, Steo and Storm’s granddad had a hand in making sure the weather was perfect – the one thing that was out of our hands,” he said.
The wedding was attended by Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham, as well as Dannii Minogue, her boyfriend Adrian Newman and Brian McFadden.
