State borrows €750m bonds
The Government borrowed €750m of seven-year government bonds at an interest rate of 0.81pc a year.
Investors offered to lend Ireland €1.99bn, which was 2.7 times the amount being sought yesterday.
The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) has raised €10.25bn in the bond markets so far this year.
In February, it raised €500m through the auction of a 15-year bond.
Another €4bn had been raised the previous week.
