Ross signs off on two new series for ITV
Chat show host Jonathan Ross has signed a deal to keep him on ITV until at least the end of next year, the broadcaster has announced.
The star (53) will record two new series of his chat show and a Christmas special for 2015 in the exclusive deal.
Ross said: "I've been lucky enough to interview some of the biggest stars around on The Jonathan Ross Show and I'm delighted that I'll continue to do so for ITV until at least the end of 2015 with two series booked for the channel for next year."
ITV's director of entertainment and comedy Elaine Bedell said: "Jonathan is the king of talk shows and a valued member of the ITV family.
"He continues to attract the biggest names in showbiz on to his sofa and I am delighted that he will remain on the channel until at least the end of 2015."
ITV announced the deal following reports that Ross was not expecting his contract to be renewed and that he could quit.
The broadcaster was the BBC's highest-paid TV star when he sensationally announced his departure in 2010, following 13 years at the Corporation and just over a year after the notorious Sachsgate scandal.
He recently had a temporary stint on BBC Radio 2, the station where he provoked a furore with Russell Brand.
Russell Brand, Lindsay Lohan, Daniel Radcliffe and Rio Ferdinand are set to appear on The Jonathan Ross Show this Saturday.
