Rose of Tralee Maria Walsh: I can't wait for short holiday to chill in California
I have a busy few days ahead which includes another skydive on Sunday.
I did one in Perth with my mum which was 15,000 feet and this one is 10,000 feet.
It's in conjunction with the air show and I'll by landing right into Tralee town park. I believe it is the first time a rose has done it but sure it won't be the last as it's great craic.
For the first time ever, the festival has an International Women's Business Conference, at which publishing powerhouse Norah Casey and Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain will be speaking. I think it's a brilliant idea.
Once the new Rose is crowned on Tuesday night I'm staying in Tralee for a few days to catch up with pals.
Other Roses I've met this year, who weren't part of my year, are all coming in from places like Australia so I'll hang around to catch up with them.
Then I have a nice trip booked to California in September so that's my downtime.
And then I'll have to bounce back to reality.
