Rosanna's make-up artist pal Paula gets engaged

Celebrity make-up artist Paula Callan is tickled pink after her other half popped the question.

The co-founder of Brown Sugar salon is over the moon after her partner Kevin Cronin went down on bended knee.

Wedding bells are in the air for former model Paula (39) - only last month she did Rosanna Davison's make-up for her third wedding party in the Powerscourt Hotel.

Paula's innovative fiance even managed to involve their two-year-old son Caleb in his proposal, which occurred at the couple's home near Malahide last weekend.

"It happened last Saturday and I was totally taken by surprise," said Paula.

"I came in the door after work and the whole house was filled with candles and Caleb had a T-shirt on that said 'Mammy, will you marry grumpy daddy'.

"I couldn't believe how romantic it was, because until then it had just been a normal day at the office. I started crying, I was so overwhelmed.

"He hadn't told anyone that he was planning to propose to me, so it was a total surprise.

"Caleb was the funniest. He started going 'Happy birthday mammy' because he thought it must be a birthday party with all the candles."

The couple went out that evening to celebrate, and have pencilled in 2016 for their wedding.

Paula said her business partner, Derek Carberry, was also thrilled.

The pair branched out last year and set up CallanBerry The Academy, which runs make-up courses, after they both moved on from Brown Sugar.

Paula was previously married to Mark O'Keeffe, with whom she has three children - Charlotte (7), Isabella (5) and Ely (4).
