'Rapist said he was gay'

A WOMAN who was allegedly raped by a man who claimed to be gay has denied "editorialising" her evidence.

The trial at the Central Criminal Court previously heard that the 46-year-old accused said he was gay and convinced the woman to come home with him from a local nightclub by telling her there was a party in his house.

He has denied rape, sexual assault, false imprisonment and making threats to kill at his Westmeath home on January 8, 2010.

Defence counsel Bernard Condon put it to the woman (23) that she was "editorialising" her evidence by refusing to admit she was flirting with the accused in the nightclub.

The trial continues.
