Plane lands safely in Cork after fire breaks out during flight
A small passenger plane has landed safely in Cork Airport after catching fire during flight.
The two-seater aircraft made an emergency landing at the airport just south of Cork City just after 12:45pm.
Fire crews and medical staff met the plane when it came in, however there are no reports of injuries.
A spokesperson for Cork Airport confirmed the landing, adding that emergency services had been on stand-by as the plane came in.
“They have now been stood down,” they added.
