Picture: Owner brings horse on to the Luas
Luas staff were forced to say "neigh" to an unusual traveller earlier today as a horse was spotted onboard the Dublin city tram.
Eye-eagle passengers might have picked up on the bizarre sight right away but according to witnesses it took the driver at least two stops before he spotted the animal.
It is understood the horse and its owner boarded the Luas at the Belgard stop heading towards the city centre.
Eventually seen by the driver though his camera, the pair of chancers were told to ‘trot’ on after a few minutes.
The incident was snapped by Una McCrystal, who told the Journal that the animal did not appear to be in distress.
"They literally had to take two fellas to push it back off,” she noted.
Luas operator Transdev said they were investigating the incident.
