Passengers see Dermot killed

HOLIDAYMAKERS heading to Dublin airport were left shocked after seeing a young man killed in a collision

Twenty passengers were on a bus which struck Dermot Cullen (22) at 2.05am yesterday. None of the passengers were harmed in the acccident, one mile north of Enniscorthy in Wexford. Gardai are still trying to find out how Dermot came to be on the roadside when he was knocked down by the airport bus from Enniscorthy to Dublin.

Dermot, the youngest of six children, is survived by his parents James and Lena. He lived in Pairc Mhuire in Ferns and worked in Dunnes Stores in Gorey.

He played with St Aidan's GAA club and also lined out for Ferns United as a soccer goalkeeper.

A family friend des-cribed Dermot as a "very mannerly" youngster who would "always stop and talk to you".
