One in six police to leave force
One in six police officers in England and Wales are planning to leave the service in the next two years, a survey has shown.
Almost 16pc of respondents in the poll of more than 30,000 police personnel admitted they intend to depart their roles. Seven per cent of those questioned plan to leave within the next two years, while 8.6pc are already looking for a new career.
The proportion was a slight increase on the same poll last year, when 14.6pc said they intend to leave and pursue other work.
