A Dublin pub has been given a €1m makeover -- thanks to some help from Manchester United.
Lafayette cafe and bar on D'Olier Street is opening on the site of the former Redz bar.
"The lease is from Manchester United because they used to have a shop there, they had it leased and now we're subletting it from them," publican Declan Doyle said.
He has turned the site -- once the Dublin studio of world renowned photographer James Lafayette -- into a nightclub, cafe, bar and art gallery.
"It's a completely new venue, if you went in you wouldn't recognise it," he said. It will "cater for professionals over-23 and it will serve over 45 cocktails, craft beers, and dishes prepared with food from markets in town".
