O'Grady faces TV helium probe

TV star Paul O'Grady's show is being investigated by a broadcasting watchdog after he inhaled helium on air.

The episode was broadcast on The Paul O'Grady Show on ITV before the watershed last month.

An Ofcom spokesman said: "Ofcom has opened an investigation into whether it was harmful for the presenter to demonstrate inhaling helium gas during this live pre-watershed show."

In March, Helen Mirren sparked controversy when she inhaled helium on The Tonight Show in the US.
