Newlywed Jen kicks back and chills on relaxing honeymoon
SHE has had a hectic few months planning for her wedding and taking charge of a new-look 2fm show.
So Jennifer Maguire had a well-deserved break in the Seychelles to look forward to.
And the chatty presenter wasted no time making everyone at home jealous with a sun-soaked snap of her idyllic honeymoon.
Jennifer (34) took time away from her busy funny-woman image to enjoy a relaxing break with her new hubby Lau Zamparelli.
Their ceremony was low-key with just 70 guests, including her brothers and sisters who flew home from America and Dubai, along with nieces and nephews and close friends.
The former Apprentice contestant looked breathtaking in a Kathy D'Stafford wedding dress, jewelled headpiece and Jimmy Choo sandals to finish off the look.
And Republic of Telly star Jennifer previously told the Herald that she was dying to chill out on a beach.
"I'm counting the hours until we're on the plane, because it will be my first proper holiday in 10 years," Jennifer said.
"Luckily I can completely zone out on a beach. My sister will be minding my house and I will have no emails to check because my schedule is completely free for that period, which is amazing."
But it will be all go for the new bride once she arrives back home to Ireland. She and Darren Kennedy have been lined up to front a Reality Bites programme for RTE.
The project, entitled The Unemployables, will focus on people around the country who have been living on social welfare for several years.
"We put a call out for people, folk on the dole for three years or more and we're trying to get them back to scratch," Jennifer told the Herald.
"It's an eye opener, it's opening up a can of worms. This comes from us, we've drafted it ourselves too."
The pretty brunette has been adapting to very early mornings since taking on her post as a co-host on 2fm's breakfast show with Bernard O'Shea and Keith Walsh in February, replacing Hector O hEochagain in a major shake-up at the station.
And the Dubliner also revealed that she is planning her next project for the small screen and has been offered a TV pilot by bosses at the national broadcaster.
