Mum-to-be Derval not putting feet up
She may be five months pregnant, but former Olympic athlete Derval O'Rourke has no intentions of putting her feet up.
The former world indoor champion (33) said she's determined to keep fit and is lifting weights and running as she prepares to be a mum.
Derval, who is married to Olympic sailor Peter O'Leary, revealed on Mother's Day that she's expecting her first child.
"I'm someone that would have worked out all the time. Even after I retired I was working out a lot. I chatted to my consultant about it... she just said don't start anything new but to just keep doing what I'm comfortable with.
"I'm lifting light weights twice a week, I'm trying to run one day a week and I'm also doing pilates," she said.
"I feel really good. If I don't feel good doing something I just stop doing it, but so far I've been feeling great."
Derval is an ambassador for the First 1,000 Days campaign.
"The campaign is lovely because it's all about nutrition throughout pregnancy and up until babies are two," she said.
