Mortgage campaigner David Hall plots run for Dail
MORTGAGE crusader David Hall is expected to meet with the Social Democrats about running in the General Election in the Dublin West constituency.
The founder of the Irish Mortgage Holders Organisation (IMHO), the charity facilitating resolutions between lenders and mortgage holders, is considering running for the newly-established party.
Mr Hall, director of Lifeline Ambulances, was a member of Fianna Fail until 2008, when he quit the party.
He contested the Dublin West by-election in 2014 and secured 13pc of the vote.
The businessman is close to a number of politicians in the constituency.
"Lucinda Creighton, Roisin Shortall, Catherine Murphy, Steven Donnelly and Shane Ross would have canvassed for me during the by-election," he told the Herald.
"I have huge amount of loyalty and friendship to all those involved," Mr Hall said.
