Michelle bounces back to healthy ways after living it up on Dublin break

She's known for her fit and healthy lifestyle, but Michelle Heaton has admitted she went overboard on junk food and partying on her recent trip to Ireland.

The singer (35), who is married to Irish businessman Hugh Hanley, revealed she has had to up her fitness regime after her holiday in Dublin last week.

As well as pigging out on Easter eggs and cheese toasties, the former Liberty X star took daughter Faith (3) to Dun Laoghaire to sample Teddy's famous ice cream.

"We had a very full-on Easter in Dublin," she said. "As well as lots of chocolate eggs, Faith and I even snuck in a cheeky ice cream at the very famous Teddy's ice cream shop near Dun Laoghaire pier."

The mum-of-two also enjoyed a night on the town with friends in the capital, starting with cocktails in The Dean Hotel before dancing the night away in nightclub Everleigh Garden.

However, Michelle realised when she returned to the UK that she had to get her healthy lifestyle back on track.

"When we got home it definitely felt like time to get my diet and fitness plan back in order," she admitted.

"This week I downloaded the MyFitnessPal app and started tracking my food intake. It's incredible that even somebody like myself who is qualified and aware of what she's eating doesn't notice little things adding up, like the milk in my coffee, ketchup and bits I pick off the kids' plates.

"Once I saw the calorie total in black and white I was shocked at how many hidden calories things had," she added.

Despite being rushed off her feet minding daughter Faith and baby son AJ, Michelle has come up with a solution to working out at home as she hopes to bounce her way to fitness on her new trampoline.

"I've been upping my exercise at home, as it's not easy getting to the gym with two kids, and with this in mind, bought a trampoline," she wrote on her blog for OK! Magazine.

"I cannot wait to do a trampoline cardio session, even if the kids do think it's theirs and theirs alone."
