Manufacturing output slips
Irish manufacturing output fell 3.2pc in the three months from November to January compared to the previous three months as technology companies cut production, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office.
While output has slipped, it remains high by international standards.
January's output was 11.7pc higher than January last year.
That was the seventh double-digit increase in a row. Manufacturing output soared 20.9pc last year.
