Man isaccused of putting hand in till

A MAN allegedly went behind the counter of a paint supply shop and took a sum of money from the cash register, a court heard.

Joey Morgan (31), of Corduff Green in Blanchardstown, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with burglary at Coolmine Decor on October 25, 2013.

The court heard the DPP has directed summary disposal of the matter in the District Court, where the penalties are less severe.

Sergeant Maria Callaghan said it is alleged Mr Morgan went behind a counter and took a sum of money from the till.

Judge David McHugh accepted jurisdiction of the charge.

The judge adjourned the matter to September and ordered the disclosure of any documents in relation to the allegation.
