A DUBLIN man charged with falsely imprisoning murdered father-of-one Ciaran Noonan has been further remanded in custody pending directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Mr Noonan (29), who was originally from East Wall, was last seen being bundled into a car and his remains were discovered on November 4, dumped in a field about six miles outside Trim, Co Meath.

Mark Allen (33), of Baylis Village, Johnstown, Navan, Co. Meath, was before Cloverhill District Court yesterday charged with the false imprisonment of Mr Noonan at Russell Avenue, on October 20.

The judge put the case back to February 6 to allow the DPP's directions to be obtained.
