Man bailed on charge of growing cannabis

A DUBLIN man has been charged with growing cannabis at his home.

Stephen Savage (30) is facing trial on drug dealing and cultivation charges.

Judge David McHugh adjourned the case at Blanchardstown District Court for the preparation of a book of evidence.

Mr Savage, with an address at Neilstown Drive, Clondalkin, is charged with cultivating cannabis without a licence at that address on March 25 last.

He is also charged with possession of the drug with intent to sell or supply at the sample place and on the same date.

The charges are under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The court heard the DPP was directing trial on indictment.

Judge McHugh remanded the accused on continuing bail to a date next month.
