A Dublin shop is experiencing loads of Lotto luck after selling two winning tickets in six months.

The winning Quick Pick selection ticket, worth €250,000, was bought on Wednesday at the Spar in Waterville, Blanchardstown.

The shop also sold a winning €500,000 EuroMillions Plus ticket last December.

Unclaimed

"With two life-changing lottery wins in the space of a couple of months, we're certainly proving to be a lucky charm for our customers," said shop owner Kevin Farrelly after learning of Wednesday's big win.

Lotto players from west Dublin are being urged to check their tickets as the €250,000 prize is still unclaimed.

"The store is in the middle of a very busy residential area, but we do have some lunchtime trade from the nearby business centres as well," said Mr Farrelly.

"Whoever the winner may be, we would ask all of our customers to check their tickets and get in touch with the National Lottery as soon as possible."

Shop worker Jimmy Khan believes the winner is local.

"Most of our customers would be from the surrounding area so I think the winner has to be somebody from around here," he said.

"It definitely wasn't someone who works here. I don't know why we're so lucky, but hopefully this win will attract more people into the shop."

Last December, a Dublin dad who had lost his job collected a cheque for €500,000 after buying his winning ticket from the Waterville shop.
