Locals angry at graffiti problem

2

GRAFFITI tags are becoming a problem in Dun Laoghaire to the alarm of residents.

"Local residents across the area are attempting to remove the tags as quick as they appear because if they're not, the property around the area will also be targeted," said a source.

People are being asked to take pictures of any vandalised property and pass it to gardai before cleaning it off.

Gardai in Dun Laoghaire have established a task-force to deal with the problem.

Recently, two juveniles were questioned about a spree of tagging in the area.

The local council pays the cost of removing graffiti.
