Laura Whitmore is tipped to be the new X Factor presenter
Laura Whitmore left MTV News to pursue other projects and now the bookies have tipped her as one of the favourites to take over from Dermot O'Leary on the X Factor.
The Bray native has spent her 20s on screen interviewing some of the world's biggest music stars from Rihanna to Sam Smith and many think she would be the perfect fit.
Other stars in the running for the job include former Xtra Factor presenters Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
Rumours had been circulating last year that Laura was in the running for the Xtra Factor gig but she lost out to her pal Sarah-Jane Crawford.
Laura (29) is also rumoured to be presenting a remake of the popular reality show Celebrity Love Island.

Go classical for charity
pubs might not be open but if you're a fan of classical music, The Carmichael Centre for Voluntary Groups will host its annual fundraising event, the Good Friday Concert in St Patrick's Cathedral on April 3.
This year, Elgar's The Dream of Gerontius will be performed by the Goethe Institut Choir and the Gaudete Chamber Choir.
The concert will commence at 8pm and tickets are available from www.carmichaelcentre.ie.
'Wild night' for troupe
NickI Minaj impressed her Irish fans at the 3Arena on Tuesday night and the official after party was held at the Grafton Lounge.
Trey Songz, who is supporting Nicki on her tour, had quite the night, even grabbing the mic and performing for the crowds.
While Nicki didn't join the party, sources say it was a "wild night".
