KEVIN Doyle has been appointed as news editor of the Herald.
The 27-year-old will take over one of Ireland's busiest and most dynamic newsrooms.
A native of Ferbane, Co Offaly, Kevin graduated from Dublin City University with a first-class honours BA in journalism in 2008.
He joined the Herald as a reporter and has since gone on to work as the newspaper's political reporter and assistant news editor. He previously worked as a sports and news reporter for the Tullamore Tribune and spent two years in the voluntary role of National Youth Director of the HSE Community Games.
