A HOST of sport stars, including Katie Taylor, Brian Kerr and Charlie Redmond, are set to take part in a special three-hour tribute show to late radio presenter Johnny Lyons.

The 49-year-old star of 98FM’s Now That’s What I Call Sport, passed away earlier this week.

The tribute show will air on Sunday at 9am and will be aptly called Now That’s What I Call Johnny.

Also speaking on the show will be Shamrock Rovers manger Pat Fenlon and current Republic of Ireland women’s football manager Sue Ronan.

From the world of rugby, there will be contributions from the former Leinster and Ireland players Shane Byrne, Niall O’Kelly, and Tony Ward.

“He was an incredible mentor and a brilliant teacher,” said one of Johnny’s colleagues, Stephen Doyle.

“Johnny has been the backbone of our sports team for over 20 years. His larger-than-life personality and passion for sport defined Johnny for so many,” a 98FM spokesperson said.
