Kate Middleton's pal says she's expecting baby number two

Kate Middleton will reportedly announce she is pregnant within weeks.

The duchess and her hubbie Prince William will celebrate their son Prince George's first birthday later this month and are at the centre of rumours that they're adding to their brood.

Now Kate's friend Jessica Hay has come out and said that she is in fact expecting and Buckingham Palace will make an announcement within weeks.

"Kate's inner circle are buzzing with the news that she is pregnant," she said.

"I've heard it from several different friends of theirs now and they're saying that they think there's going to be an official announcement in weeks."

She also claims that Kate is already showing the first signs of pregnancy.

Style

Ms Hay insists she has already put on a little weight and started changing her style, which could point towards her expecting.

"Kate's face is fuller like it was when she was first expecting George and she's been changing her hair, which could be to disguise the fullness," she told Australia's New Day.

"She has rosy cheeks, she's letting her greys show again, and whenever she's out in public she goes to great lengths to hold something over her tummy."

Jessica claims that this time around, the royal couple will wait before officially confirming the pregnancy.

They were forced to reveal the pregnancy news when she was just seven weeks pregnant with Prince George.

She suffered from intense morning sickness, called hyperemesis gravidarum and had to be hospitalised for the condition.

Ms Hay met Kate at the elite Marlborough College, which they both attended as teenage schoolgirls.

She claims that she and the duchess quickly became firm friends and shared a dorm.

While she correctly predicted the first pregnancy - and shared the news in a magazine interview - her other predictions have been less spot on.

Prior to the royal wedding, Ms Hay shared the date of the special day with the world's media but was off by several months.

In the meantime, the happy couple are concentrating on their young son's first birthday celebrations, which will take place on July 22.

He is expected to be inundated with lavish gifts for the milestone occasion. Royal biographer Marcia Moody said he would probably receive some traditional luxury items like a rocking horse or a silver tooth box."
