Hospitality

Pre-tax profits at one of the best known pubs in the country, Johnnie Fox's in the Dublin Mountains, reached new heights last year when they increased by 15pc to €226,801.

Gross profits at the self-styled highest pub in Dublin rose by 6pc from €2.9m to €3.08m in the 12 months to the end of March 31, 2014.

Pub owner Tony McMahon said yesterday that business in the pub "is going extremely well" and expects even higher profits in the current financial year.
