Jobs boost for Dublin with 140 new posts

A top consulting company has lined up 140 new high-end positions in Dublin.

Accenture, which already employs 1,400 people in Dublin, said it will fill a further 140 posts at its offices in Grand Canal Place and Grand Canal Square in the coming year.

The company is seeking both graduates and experienced specialists in areas such as Java, SAP, cloud computing, data management and digital technologies, as well as analytics and consulting.

"These new positions are being created in response to our clients' growing need for new technology solutions that will help transform their businesses by improving efficiencies and creating new opportunities," said Mark Ryan, MD Accenture in Ireland.

"In this context, Accenture offers a unique opportunity to work with leading local and global companies during this exciting time of change.

"We are looking for professionals with passion and expertise across all areas of technology to help our clients on this journey to high performance."

Accenture employs 266,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries.

The firm says it collaborates with clients to help them become high-performance businesses and governments.

The company generated net revenues of $27.9bn (€20.9bn) in the last fiscal year.
