The Joan Collins' are in a war of words on Twitter.

Less than an hour after actress Joan clarified that was she was not arrested at a water protest in Dublin, politician Joan, who was arrested at a water protest in Harold's Cross yesterday, has hit out at the Dynasty star.

Earlier today, the Dynasty star tweeted: "No, I am not the Joan Collins who was arrested yesterday at a Dublin protest meeting!!! The very idea!!"

However, the United Left Alliance TD took a shot at the actress this morning, saying: "For the record I'm not @JoanCollinsOBE as I'd never take an honour from a monarch nor did I wear shoulder pads in the 80s. The very idea!"

"Ok maybe I wore shoulder pads, there was very little choice in the 80s, but I'd never take an honour from a monarch," she added.

The British actress was in her London home at the time of the incident, sharing a picture of an oil painting on Instagram, when Collins (the politican) was arrested at a protest in Harold's Cross.

“We were with the community of Harold's Cross because they don’t want water meters installed,” Joan Collins said.
