FORMER Love/Hate actor Ian Lloyd Anderson wed his other half Kimberley Harris at the weekend.

The actor, who played Deano in the hit RTE show, walked down the aisle in front of family and friends on Saturday.

"I woke up this morning and this woman was my wife. So happy. I love you Kimbo," he wrote online alongside a picture of the happy couple.

The happy bride and groom were also joined by some of his Abbey Theatre crew.

Actors Aonghus Og McNally and Liz Fitzgibbon were at the celebrations.

Ian proposed to Kim last July during a trip to San Francisco.

They shared pictures of Kim's impressive sparkler overlooking the Palace of Fine Arts in the Californian city.

The pair then jetted off to New York to celebrate their good news.

While the actor's homelife is on the upward trajectory, professionally things are going well too, as he has landed a role in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones.

He will appear in at least one episode as Derek who is described as a 'bully' by the programme makers.

Though best known for playing Fran's right-hand man Deano on Love/Hate, Ian is also a stage actor.

The Dubliner will soon tread the boards in the Gaeity as Tadgh in a 50-year anniversary production of the John B Keane's play The Field.

Rehearsals for the run, which will begin on April 23, are already under way and the hard-working star has only managed to secure a day off either side of his wedding weekend.

Luckily, his fiancé took charge in the run-up to their nuptials with the down-to-earth actor joking that he probably accounted for just 20pc of the planning.

In his defence he said he had been hitting the gym to ensure that his suit fit him on the day.

"That's commitment," he joked.

Ian has also appeared in Raw and The Clinic on RTE but it was Love/Hate that really helped to boost his profile - that is until his gangland character met a grisly end at the hands of psychopath Fran in season four.
