I'm still in love with radio even after 21 years

Next week I'm going to be 21 years in radio and I'm finding it hard to believe.

I turned 36 last week and I've been working in radio since I was 15.

It's kind of scary - I know people who have just turned 21 and it's mad to think that they were only born when I started out.

Even after 21 years, I don't think I'll ever grow tired of working in radio.

I've been doing it so long at this stage that I could never imagine myself doing anything else.

My first radio job was in a pirate radio station based in a shed in Mackintosh Park in Dun Laoghaire when I was in transition year and I've just kind of worked my way up since then.

I was lucky enough to get a job as soon as I left college too, so I've never really done anything other than radio. I'm on Spin 1038 now and I love it - it's such a positive place to work.

If you ever come in to work feeling tired or fed up, that just goes out the window because the minute you walk in everyone is so upbeat.
