I'm getting in fancy dress mode for my sister's 40th - Elaine Crowley
There will certainly be no partying for me at Miss Ireland tonight because I have to be up bright and early on Saturday morning to drive home to Cork.
It's my sister Maggie's 40th birthday - I think she's a bit traumatised by the whole milestone but she's just back from a holiday in Mauritius so I don't feel all that sorry for her.
We're having a bit of a bash at our parents' house and it's fancy dress so I'm in charge of the costumes for the night.
I've a massive box of all sorts of get-ups from Telly Tubbies and Minions to air hostesses and Superwoman so if I don't get down, there'll be war.
It'll be great to be back because I don't get home to visit as often as I would like to.
I used to get home a lot more but between presenting and producing Midday, my week can get very full-on so sometimes I just like to relax when it comes to the weekend.
My family don't let me away with it though - my parents and my nieces and nephews always guilt-trip me for not visiting enough.
