'I'd adore a holiday home in Ireland', says Towie's Sam

She's an Essex girl through and through, but Sam Faiers reckons she could see herself spending a lot more time in Dublin.

The English beauty, known for starring in reality series The Only Way Is Essex (Towie), was in town recently with her husband Paul Knightley and their 11-month old son, also called Paul.

"I love Dublin, I love it over here. It would be nice to have a holiday home to have a little break, it's only an hour away," she told the Diary.

Sam has visited Ireland several times, mostly for quick appearances.

She took full advantage of her latest trip and did her Christmas shopping in Brown Thomas before taking took a romantic stroll with her husband in Stephen's Green.

"I wanted to spend a bit of time in Dublin. Every other time I've been here it's been in and out, but this time we went shopping, we went for a walk in the park, we got some nice pictures," she said

"I went to Brown Thomas, I keep calling it Thomas Brown. I got some Christmas decorations."

The 25-year-old recently starred on her own reality series called The Mummy Diaries which followed her experiences of being a first time mother.

She and Paul are hoping to move to America in the new year.

"Everything now is revolving around Christmas. My son's going to be one-year-old on December 29.

"We definitely want to go, but now that we've come up to Christmas we're going to wait until the new year, maybe the end of January. My book launches at the end of December as well, so everything has come at once," she said.

"This will be my third book. It's called My Baby and Me and it's about my experience as a first time mum."
