Honohan backs female directors

jobs

The Governor of the Central Bank Patrick Honohan has become an official supporter of the 30pc Club, a global campaign to increase female participation on company boards of directors and management teams to at least 30pc.

Currently just two of the 11 members of the Central Bank's own board, known as the Central Bank Commission, are women, well below the 30pc Club target.

However, five of the Central Bank's 16 most senior executives are women, slightly above the targeted level.
