Hillary set to enjoy a night at the Storehouse

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is set to stay in the Merrion Hotel and enjoy Irish hospitality at the Guinness Storehouse when she visits Dublin next week.

Forty foreign ministers from around the world have been invited to an evening of entertainment at the famous brewery.

"It's expected that Hillary will join them. She has a busy itinerary but it's well known that she enjoys the odd drink," a source told the Herald.

A massive security operation is set to be put in place for the former First Lady who is due to arrive on the evening of the Budget.

Large groups of protesters are likely to gather outside Leinster House in the aftermath of our sixth austerity budget.

"Exact details of her travel plans are kept very tight for security reasons but it's likely she will arrive at some stage on Wednesday.

"That poses a problem because it's inevitable that there will be large groups of protesters on Kildare Street," said a source.

Mrs Clinton will be staying in the plush Merrion Hotel -- opposite the Department of An Taoiseach -- for two nights before travelling to Belfast next Friday.
