Halloween hospital scare for model Kerri-Nicole
Dublin model Kerri-Nicole Blanc had an unwelcome Halloween fright as she spent the celebrations in hospital having her appendix removed.
The 25-year-old had a traumatic experience as she waited for over 24 hours for emergency surgery.
Despite undergoing an appendectomy, Kerri-Nicole took to social media to reassure her friends that she was doing well.
Sharing a picture of her smiling from a hospital bed, the mum-of-one thanked everyone for their support.
"Thanks for all the well wishes," she wrote.
"After 28 hours left on a trolley in the hospital corridors as they had no bed, I finally had my appendix out at midnight before it exploded.
"Doing great, thanks for all the messages," she added.
The Kildare native had a pick-me-up when her daughter Kayla (4) visited her dressed in a Spiderman costume.
"My own little Superhero has come to mind me," she captioned the snap of her daughter all dressed up.
Kerri-Nicole recently said her daughter had changed her perspective on life.
"She has the most amazing and beautiful personality. Just her presence can light up any room," she said.
