Gordon D'Arcy and wife Aoife welcome 'beautiful baby girl'
Irish rugby star Gordon D'Arcy and his wife Aoife Cogan have welcomed a little girl into the world.
The Leinster and Ireland player shared a sweet photo on him holding his daughter's hand on Twitter to announce the news.
D'Arcy simply captioned the photo: "My beautiful baby girl."
The loved-up couple, who wed in 2012, were pictured just last weekend at the Leinster Ball, where he paid a fitting tribute to his wife, a former Miss Ireland.
"To my side Aoife, thank you. You're an amazing woman, you're giving me the best gift that anyone could ever give."
Gordon and Aoife own Dublin Pilates studio Form School and the top model retired from the runway last year.
D'Arcy retired from Leinster rugby and will step down from the Ireland side after the World Cup.
Earlier this year, Aoife said they wanted to keep the gender a surprise.
"There are so few surprises left in life and I love all the guessing; the old wives' tales and everyone having a theory about whether it's a boy or a girl because of the way you're carrying the baby and the shape of the bump," he said.
"But overall I just think it's a lovely a surprise."
