America's Ryder Cup team have flown into the UK along with their flock of glamorous birdies.

The eagerly-awaited clash between America and Europe will kick off in earnest this Friday at the Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire, Scotland.

And looking like they mean business, the US team certainly scored an impressive opening round in the style stakes at Edinburgh Airport.

All of the WAGs were dressed in matching ensembles of dark jeans, black riding boots, cream jackets and red scarves as they showed their support for their partners.

The players looked equally smart in navy blazer jackets and blue-striped shirts as they walked off the plane onto the runway in Edinburgh.

Among them were Jordan Spieth and his girlfriend Annie Verret along with Keegan Bradley and his partner Jillian Stacey, carrying an oversized Louis Vuitton bag.

Jim Furyk was pictured with his wife Tabitha while Matt Kuchar arrived with spouse Sybi alongside Phil Mickelson and Amy Mickelson.

They were greeted by the European Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley and his wife Alison and Scotland's Sports Minister Shona Robison.
