Gardai hunt gang after Wrights fire
A garda hunt is under way for a gang of youths suspected of starting a fire at famous fish processors Wrights of Howth.
The alleged arson attack at West Pier was quickly brought under control by the fire brigade, and the factory was fully operational today.
Initial investigations showed a number of pallets had been set alight outside the building.
These spread to a number of other items stored in the yard, but the blaze did not damage the interior of the building.
Meanwhile, an elderly disabled man is in a critical condition suffering serious burns in a house fire in Ballyfermot.
