Four youths were arrested in Dublin yesterday after leading gardai on a high-speed chase through the south of the city.

Four youths were arrested in Dublin yesterday after leading gardai on a high-speed chase through the south of the city.

The assailants were involved in a number of incidents when rampaging through Rathfarnham and Terenure.

The chase came to a stop shortly after 4.15pm when the blue Mitsubishi Galant they were travelling in collided with three patrol cars.

A small amount of damage was caused. No injuries were reported. The men were apprehended and taken to Terenure Garda station.

Three of the boys were released without charge. The 16-year-old driver remained in custody last night.
